Engraved rock

In the plaza in front of Te Papa stand three boulders. One is engraved with a record of the museum's inauguration. Unlike so many other commemorative boulders, this one is a delight. The inscription is nicely engraved in Roman serifed letters, subtle and understated.

Taken 19 May 2004. Filed under minerals and signs. Click the photo to go to the previous photo.
