View from the 18th floor

Monday 28 May 2012

I’m at work at Dent Island Lighthouse, for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. Dent Island faces the Whitsunday Passage and is about 18 km from Shute Harbour. The nearest accommodation is at Hamilton Island, a short ferry ride away. Life is hard.

Here is the view from my hotel room, as it changed between 6:15 and 7:00 am. Or see this larger version which is Flash-free, and suitable for iPhones and iPads.
